  • He has worked for or has been on the board of several nonprofit organizations. Previously, he worked as a teacher.

  • Dr. Quartey received his Doctor of Podiatry from Temple University in 1979.

  • He is Board Certified with the American Academy of Pain Management and is also Board Certified with American Council of Certified Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons. 

  • He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Inc. and the National Podiatric Medical Association. 

  • He serves as president of the Imhotep Charter High School and on the board of directors of the African American Museum in Philadelphia.
